Designer Paulo Corceiro has sent us what looks like a Sony Walkman player and its in fact a smartphone that commemorates the good old design of the Sony TPS-L2, the first Walkman ever. The model will also get an app that plays songs in cassette-like fashionThe button functionality would be the same as on the original player, but now there are also cameras added. You also get a front and back camera, a side USB connector and a sound level adjusting mechanism on the side. Two audio jacks are included at the top, as well as a big button in the same area, a Hot Line/Instant Mute button. If you think that the design is bulky, bricky or asymmetrical, you should know that its still a Sony classic and the original was made like that back in the day..

Sharp which as far as I can tell is not joking just announced a robot phone called RoboHon, designed by renowned creator Tomotaka Takahashi. RoboHon is an eight-inch-high robot with a 2-inch screen on the back and a camera and projector built into its face. It walks, talks, dances, and connects to LTE. RoboHon is capable of identifying people by their face or voice, and will act accordingly, telling them they have a new message or to smile for the camera. It is basically the embodiment of the idea that your phone is your best friend. Sharp says it'll release RoboHon in the first half of next year. No pricing has been announced, but we will certainly keep you posted.

They already have a flagship ready, called the ZUK Z1, that comes with solid specs& for 2014 rather than 2015. Anyway, the ZUK team developed this model too, with an edge-free transparent display panel and a rectangular format. The device feels a bit like the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness, but with a modern approach. The handset was showcased as a functional prototype, not just a mockup.
